MUM & ME

ages 18 months to 2 ½ years

A 30 minute class that gives mums/dad/guardians the opportunity to join in and dance along to our wonderful program. We incorporate imagination, clapping, singing and jumping along to beautiful ballet music, nursery rhymes and our favourite songs. Children learn best when using all their senses. Our "Mum & Me" program provides visual, auditory, physical and tactile stimulation, not only is it a great preparation for primary school but also extremely beneficial for overall growth!

This first 30 minutes of this class is based on the Royal Academy of Dance Pre Primary Ballet syllabus. The syllabus promotes and encourages enjoyment of movement, creativity, drama and musicality.  Students begin to understand the disciplines and structure of a traditional ballet class and ballet vocabulary. All fundamentals learnt in our previous levels are continued and further developed in this level. The last 15 minutes of this class focuses on jazz and free movement, where students are able to express themselves and dance their hearts out!

FAQ

Free Trial Class:

We understand it can be a little scary trying something new!

There is no commitment or upfront payment for new students, we welcome parents to observe their child's first class before committing to a term.

If your little one is genuinely unhappy or not ready for ballet, our trial class is completely free should you choose not to come back. If you decide to enrol following the trial, please note that the class is not free. The trial class then becomes your first class and will be included in the regular term fees.

Registration Fee:

There is no registration fee!

Class Pricing:

Our class fees are paid per term.

Prices assume enrolment for an entire school term (10 weeks) with the exception for new enrolments throughout the term.

What To Wear:

There is no compulsory uniform at RDC.

Our dancers can come dressed as a ballerina/fairy/princess/superhero or whatever else they wish!
We only request that their outfit is comfortable and doesn't restrict any movement.

Shoes:

We strongly recommend you get proper ballet shoes. You can purchase ballet shoes at the studio or get professionally fitted from Bloch. If you are new to RDC and trialling a class, we understand it can be hard to find the time, bare foot is fine for the first few weeks (socks can be slippery).

Our closest Bloch stores are located at Rouse Hill Town Centre or Westfield Hornsby.
